An insulated cover. Its roof panels are insulated, so it's the one to choose when keeping the space underneath cool is the goal.
A patio cover is a roof over your patio: open on the sides, for shade and rain protection. A sunroom is a fully enclosed, glass-walled room built onto your house that you can use in any weather.
Aluminum covers (flat pan, lattice and insulated) need less upkeep than wood: there's nothing to rot, stain or seal.
