This website, scconstruction.biz, is run by S C Family Enterprises Inc, doing business as SC Construction ("SC Construction," "we" or "us"), CA LIC# B498637. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote, we ask for your project type, your city or ZIP code, your name, and a phone number or email address. You can also add details about your project and up to 5 photos. If you call or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and when. When you send the quote form, we also note which page you sent it from. See "Cookies and analytics" below for the tools that measure how the site is used.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you send us to:
- respond to your request, schedule your consultation and prepare your estimate;
- talk with you about your project;
- send you one email confirming we received your request, if you gave us an email address;
- keep the website secure and working, including blocking spam; and
- understand how visitors use the website, so we can improve it.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with other companies for their own marketing.
We share it only with service providers that run parts of the website for us: Vercel (website hosting), Sanity (secure storage of quote requests) and Resend (sending our emails, including the photos you attach). They may use it only to provide those services.
The map on our contact page loads from Google Maps only if you choose to show it. Google then receives information such as your IP address, under Google's own privacy policy.
If you apply for financing, you do so on Lyon Financial's website, and what you give Lyon is handled under Lyon's privacy policy.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, and Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). The website still works without them.
Your browser may offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there's no common standard for it, our website doesn't currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
5. How long we keep information
We keep quote requests as long as we need them to respond to you and for our business records, up to 3 years. If you become a customer, we keep your project records as long as we need them for our business and legal obligations.
6. Keeping your information safe
We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and storage that only our team can access. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information like bank or card numbers through the website.
7. Your choices and California privacy rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information you've sent us through the website, or to correct or delete it. Contact us using the details below. We'll confirm the request comes from you and respond within a reasonable time.
California residents: we don't share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
8. Children's privacy
This website is meant for adults planning home projects. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
